Dance Recital

Yesterday, Emi had her first dance recital. It was so good!! She did such a great job! She loves to dance. And she was soo nervous right before she went on. She had two dances. Hip-Hop and Acro.

We've been discussing the possibility of her trying out for the competition dance team at the studio. We wanted to wait and see how she did at the recital, before actually making the decision of if she could try-out of not. What if she froze? Or got to scared to even move?

She wants to try-out so bad! So as soon as she was done with her second dance and came to sit with us to watch the rest of the recital, she turns to me and asked of we had decided yet. LOL!! I told her, "Nope, we still have to talk about it." She asked me several more times before she went to bed.

We did decide that she could try-out. She was thrilled! She is going to try-out for Hip-Hop and Jazz. And we should know within a few days of her tryout.

School Rant

UGH!!! These schools are so far from being consistent!! Wills school is the worst one. They introduced this new policy at the beginning of the second semester. They call it "Every Assignment, Every Time." This policy is suppose to give the kids who are failing to turn in their homework, a second chance to turn it in, but with a penalty. The day it is late they are suppose to be given a form to bring home to the parents to sign and receive a max grade of 75%. If they fail to do that, then they are assigned Saturday School.

Well I loved the ideal of this program. Especially for Will! He is horrible at doing homework. And he didn't like the sounds of this program. So it scared him into doing what he was suppose to do...for a while. Then he started to screw up again. I caught him with a few of the forms, that he didn't have us sign. Then I found out that on one of the forms he forged Jody's signature. I went round and round with the school to get to the bottom of that.

Anyways...the reason I say the school is not consistent is because they truly did not seem like they wanted to give Sat School. It was one of those we want to do this, things...but then they didn't keep it up. I feel like I was let down by them. He ended up being punished for the forgery. But then I was informed that there wouldn't be any more of those forms for the rest of the school year. Oh, and Logan is going to go there next year too! I hope that they keep the policy. They just have to be consistent with it!

Ugh! There was something else that the school did that wasn't consistent, that I was going to rant about.....I can't remember it now! I just have not been happy with either of the kids school. I truly could go on and on........

I can't believe that I am now 30.....I miss my 20's!!! LOL!!

Wow! If any random quote is true, this one sure is!

My life has changed completely...and then some...since the kids have come to live with us. I like some of the changes....but not all of them. It is so hard to describe all the things that have changed. Mostly I don't feel that I am ever alone. Sometimes I like that...but often I don't.

Financially, our life has changed too! I never seemed to notice our bills changing that much when they came for the summer...but now it is always one thing or another that is needed. We have not been out to eat in a restaurant in forever!! It would be soo expensive to take the 5 of us out to eat!

Oh! The thing that I miss the most though, is never, ever being alone with my husband. We (for multiple reasons) don't feel comfortable leaving the kids with a babysitter or even with Will in charge....so there have been NO date nights. We use to have date nights ALL the time!!!

Don't get me wrong...as much as I complain...I love having the kids here. I love their little hugs. I love when they smile. I love that they LOVE my cooking! I love when Emi holds my hand. I love that Logan thinks that I have the answer to EVERYTHING!! LOL!!!

Cheating.....

Ok! I have been sooo sooo sooo busy that I have not posted since..uh the end of September...So I am going to cheat! I am going to go back in and blog about things between now and then. LOL!!! I am sooo bad!! I really want to include some of these things here, so that is why I am going to do it. But hey!! At least I am admitting it!!

2009!

Where did 2008 go?

It went by so fast! 2008 had a lot of changes for us. The main one being that the kids came and lived with us. Wow! Has that been a big change!

I can't wait to see what 2009 brings for us. I hope it is better that 2008 was (at least most of the time)

Here is a short lists of my hopes/wants for the New Year....

I hope to lose weight this year.

I hope to relax and be calmer than I have been....

I hope to scrapbook more.

I hope to better organize my scrapbook supplies and photos

I would love to be expecting a child by the end of the year...that would be fantastic!
